If attempting to use the Plain Text or Full HTML formats, the body changes to all white and only displays:

If using the Filtered HTML format, the body stays grey and the buttons are available.

I can duplicate this in Firefox 17.0.1 and Chrome 23.0.1271.97 m, both of which are the latest versions. I also duplicated it in IE 8.0.6001.18702, but all pages are totally messed up in IE 8, anyway.

UPDATE: Applied latest dev version today. Issue still exists.

Installed the Beta Version and then Installed the Dec 18 DEV version on top of that. Now, the WYSIWYG editor buttons do not appear for any input format.

From what I've been observing, is that the WYSIWYG does not work for the admin with the current and last Commons release, but it works for anonymous and authenticated users.

Yap! For authenticated users editor is apearing.
Anyway, is there anyplace I can modify the Aloha / wysiwyg?

I believe this was fixed with #1879036: Replace Aloha with CKEditor via CKEditor project but please re-open if that's not the case.

Was this supposed to be included in the Jan 25 DEV release? I have applied the latest DEV release but I am still having this issue. I looked at the Commons WYSIWYG module and it still lists Aloha as a requirement.

@gr8britton - This was just fixed by #1899618: build-commons.make points to ckeditor branch of Commons instead of ckeditor and should be resolved as of the latest nightly build.

It appears to be fixed on a fresh install. I do believe that if you are doing an update from a previous version, then you have to insure that you disable and remove the previous Aloha editor in order to resolve the issue. I have not tested this and I could be mistaken.
