I posted on this problem today at http://drupal.org/node/54511 but in short:
When I create a custom menu with links: Log in, Create Account, and Get Password only (which only anonymous visitors see), and having disabled the thus unnecessary Log in link in the Navigation area, upon logging in, users no longer have a My Account link in their main menu. Any clues how to fix this?
