When the CAPTCHA module is enabled, Access Control in the admin panel will not load, only presents a blank page. I have tried both Garland and blue breeze, thinking it may be a themeissue, but they both have the issue. When I disable CAPTCHA, Access Control is back to normal.

I am using Drupal 5.3 on MAMP dev folder. PHP 5. MAC OSX 10.4

Other Modules installed,
Core Optional: Blog, Color, Comment, Contact, Help, Menu, Profile, Search, Taxonomy, Upload
Other Modules: GTSpam 5.x-0.4, PNG Fix 5.x-1.0, Poormanscron 5.x-1.1, TAC-Lite 5.x-1.0

blank pages are typically apache errors, have you checked your apache error logs ?

This is the first time I have used MAMP, and am not familiar with Apache

I really don't know what to look for in the error log. I will attach it here.

I closed this, I have had this issue now with two other modules. I will move the issue elsewhere.
