I want to store multiple values per computed field.
When creating editing a computed field the 'description' for 'Computed Code (PHP)' states:

For multi-value computed fields continue with $entity_field[1]['value'].

leading me to think I can store multiple values.
But when I do:

$entity_field[0]['value'] = $var1;
$entity_field[1]['value'] = $var2;
$entity_field[2]['value'] = $var3;

the other 2 values don't get stored, no error but nothing in the DB and no documentation on how to retrieve. Am I misinterpreting the desciption or is it not working?

i see same issue. my guess this is broken. i'll see if i can see where it is broken.

have you set the field cardinality (how many values it can have) to unlimited?

Once you set the field cardinality to unlimited, this works. I had the same problem and fixed it that way. This issue should be closed.
