Description
Would it be possible to embed videos with Whizzywig module?
Or is it the limitation of Whizzywig itself?
Just FYI
http://www.google.com/search?num=20&hl=en&newwindow=1&q=site%3Awww.unver...
Especially among them
whizzy: create dynamically, flash embed, etc
The link in the thread above is dead, so please have a look at http://tree-nation.com/community/discussion_new.php
and click Flash icon instead.

Hi,
Indeed the embed tag seems to be filtered out by Whizzywig.
Unfortunately there isn't much i can do about that, other than hoping that the Whizzywig author finds a solution for it.
The way TreeNation implemented it, required changes to the Whizzywig editor itself. It is not my intention to create a fork of the editor.
If anyone wants to share code to alter the original whizzywig.js to support embedded tags, feel free to contribute it to the interested people, but this module will only support the original whizzywig.js integration into Drupal.
So we can only hope that the editor sooner or later supports embedded objects.
If anyone has ideas to make this work without changing the javascript, by all means let me know. But i don't have any :)

In the mean time, you can embed videos of GoogleVideo and YouTube by the help of Googtube module.
What you have to do is paste the url(s) of the video(s) you want to embed.

Ok thanks for pointing to that module.
I'll test it when i find some time :)
(marked this issue back 'active' because it wouldn't disappear from the list - as more people might need this info)
