Custom display settings in Manage display area not expandable - link not working

I am new to Commerce Kickstart so I may be missing something but from what I read I should be able to click on "Custom display settings" at the bottom of the Manage Display tab to enable additional displays, but nothing happens when I click on that "link" or the expansion triangle. This is true in multiple browsers and two separate installations of commerce kickstart that I have tried.
