Facet API only reads the first 5 digits of a number

I'm trying to create a price facet for a real estate website, and it seems as though Facet API only reads the first 5 digits of the price field. It can't distinguish between the numbers 10,000 and 100,000. It sees them both as the same thing.

For example, when searching between $300,000 and $400,000, houses with the price $34,000 will show up. When searching between $30,000 and $40,000, houses with the price $349,000 will show up.
