Better menu integration of localized menu items

Please provide a better integration with the localized menu system. I mean - when a view creates a normal menu item, the item title should be available for translation as well, and the UI should provide a form to assign the item to an appropriate menu.

Currently the translation does not cover the menu item stuff and requires too much ado creating it, not to mention that for i18n beginners it might not be obvious how to have a parallel menu item invoking the same view.
