I'm trying to simulate the 3 column layout of the Journal Crunch theme for the front page just like:

Can someone help with Omega on how to do this?

afaik this is not possible like this, because there are no nested regions yet. just float the blocks.

Use the Views to build this custom node block, and include that in front page using panels or drupal block syttem
