Pathauto and Multilingual Websites

I have looked around for someone with similar issue to mine. I have found a number of posts regarding this issue but i havent really found a fix regarding this to be honest. I recently installed on a clean Drupal 7 installation, pathauto. The issue i am having is the following:

"After creating a new node and seting its language to Greek the url displayed at the address bar is still displayed as www.domain.com/node/1.

If i change the language to either English or Language neutral the alias is displayed perfectly fine in the url.

In the Url Aliases List in the administration section the alias seems to have been correctly created and also if i edit the node under the URL path settings tab the alias is displayed correctly as well.

Therefore to sum up the problem exists if i try to set a language other than English while creating a node and basicaly even though the alias is being created it is somehow not being displayed in the url at the address bar"

Can anyone help me sort this out ? Has anyone fixed this for their own multilingual website ?
