First Drupal Site

I started learning drupal about 2 weeks ago. This is my first site and my only previous experience was a little bit of html/css knowledge. Please feel free to critique it. I can handle harsh criticism, I am trying to learn.

I used the following modules:

pathauto
ctools
rules
addthis
devel

For the theme I used adaptive theme- footheme and made a custom theme from it.

Good job.

My "constructive" criticisms are as follows:

* You need something in the way of pictures. It looks quite bland at the moment, and an image or two goes a long way.
* Some of the text, namely the blue text in the side bar and the black text on the facebook "like" in the top-right are difficult to see. You need more of a color contrast.

I think with those changes it would look a lot better. I would personally go with a slightly different and more compact font, but that's personal preference.

Thanks a lot. Design wise I still have a lot of work to do. I'm planning on adding at least an image to the front page and maybe a couple more throughout the site. I just need to find the right ones. I was mostly focused on making it functional and learning drupal. Thanks for the advice I will definitely take a look at the things you mentioned. I really don't like look of the font either the more I look at it so I will probably change that too. Thanks for your input.

Thanks. I used adaptive theme-corolla-footheme and made some customization with CSS. Just some small tweaks.

Thanks. I liked it at first but now I kind of don't. But this is my first site of any kind. I've started another site for a friend and it is looking much better. So I am going to go back and redesign mine.
