I set this task to minor and postponed as I would first like to have the more important decisions to be made. But once we got that, I would like to remove this restriction. I do not see why it would not work with $_GET['q'] as well; in fact, this should not be much more than one or two additional lines in .htaccess. But we have too many new features and things to discuss that I prefer delaying other new features etc. a bit :)

This is fixed in the latest dev. One small fix in the callback handling only.

Oh, I thought there would have been some fixing necessary in the .htaccess as well? Isn't that the case?
