Need Help Fixing Ubercart "Catalog" Selector bug

Hi there,
Over the years I've been running Ubercart and I've upgraded from drupal 4 to 5 to 6 to 7.
At some point a few years back I could no longer select the "category" for a Product. The Category pop is always empty, no matter what I do to add new Taxonomy, delete all the taxonomy entries and re-enter new ones, re-select a term to be assigned for a catalog, etc.

Though I'm not a programmer, I feel like there must be some corrupted link table or hook or something. Some piece of legacy code that didn't upgrade quite right at some point. I'm totally willing to pay someone to fix this if they can. I've even tried uninstalling Ubercart completely and deleting all the products I just can't seem to get it to reset.

Can anyone help me with this or suggest a solution? Here's a screen shot showing the empty pop-up list. Thanks. -Charlie

How is the term reference set

How is the term reference set up for you product node type under admin/structure/types/manage/product/fields ?

Have you tried deleting and re adding a new term reference. Make sure you back up your site so you can revert it. Maybe try adding a second term reference (select and existing field) and give it a different name and see if it lists the catalog terms.
