Hi everyone!

So I'm trying to install some text editor. I started out with TinyMCE but any formatting changes couldn't be saved. Then I switched to trying out YUI Editor. It seems to work fine, but it's rather buggy. When in Edit mode, the page beyond body textarea doesn't display. So I've disabled it and now the main issue I'm asking about is this...

The /files directory is not writeable!

I've tried to change the chmod, but errors keep coming back. Do you guys know of any possible reasons why the directory permissions changed and how I could change it back?

PS/I'm running Drupal 5.2 on Dreamhost.

It turns out that when I activated WebDAV prior, it changed the file settings and rendered it unwritable. Mystery solved.
