Updating Search Info

I am wondering if there is a way to update the search information automatically without relying on the Cronplus module. I know that you can run it manually to do the update, but I need a way to update the search data right after the page is posted for users I do not want to have permissions to manually run Cronplus. Does anyone know how I can do this?
