Hi all...I'm thinking about a node type that would have a large number of pre-defined fields and I'd like to make them editable by section similar to Wikipedia or better yet Crunchbase (http://crunchbase.com). I looked at the Fieldgroup module to break the add/edit form into a multipage wizard but that's still clunky because you have to navigate through several pages every time to get to the "save" button.
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this? Maybe create a different node type for each section and then assemble the full page as a View using relationships or contextual filters? Or could Panels be helpful here?
Is Drupal maybe not a good fit for this type of content? I'm still pretty new to Drupal so any input would be appreciated.

How about using Panels and In
How about using Panels and In Place Editor?

I think Panels would be quite too complex. I would think all you need in D7 are the Fields - that used to be in a separate module under D6 - CCK then.
You create the fields you need and group them - without any additional module. All with be on one page and you save this page at the end (or top and bottom - if you add it).
There will be some modules you may want to add that will give you some customised fields - but the basis is there in D7 - out of the box.
