I moved from MediaTemple to Anhosting about 9 days ago.
Anhosting's support was very responsive and the server speed was really good.
much better than MediaTemple.
But I now have serious problem, the only reason I moved from MediaTemple was MT was having issues with
their GS and it went down like 4 times in a month. Since I've moved to Anhosting my site went down 4 times.
4 times in 9 days. this time it's down for more than 1.5 hours and it's still down.
It's really good when it is not down but 4 times in 9 days....
come on...
Is it just me or does anybody else have similar experience?

downtime is a part of life with any host even if you ran your own. What you look for now is how responsive Anhosting is to fixing the problem. Could be a bad disk that needs to be replaced and a backup moved to it. If so this takes some time. The good news is, if this is the case, you shouldn't have much downtime for quite some time.
OK. It's back up after two
OK. It's back up after two hours of down time.
I know there will be some down time since they say 99.9% up time Guarantee.
But I think 4 times in 9 days was too much.
Anyway I asked them to move my website to different server and they said they will do that.
Last time when I asked they just told me "it'll get better sorry" This time they are actually moving my
sites to different server. I hope that one is OK.
I don't know what kind of
I don't know what kind of crappy hosting you're used to, but being down four times in a month is not "part of life" with any web hosting service
That's just bad service. I can see maybe being down two times in a year, but not four times in a month.

99.9% up time is simply over a year period. 4 times in one month for 10 hours over the stretch of a year isn't at all 0.1%
HD's go bad, RAM blocks go bad, any number of thousands of things can effect a machine witih moving parts. Sometimes these problems are apparent sometimes they are not.
A server goes down. For some reason someone assumes that the admins are not doing all they can to get it back up. That someone wants to ignore their problem and is out to ensure they get bad service.
And I don't mean this just about any one specific host. I see this stuff all the time posted elsewhere and hear it all the time in my "non-net life".
Somewhere along the line many people seem to have switched from thinking -
"People are trying to do their jobs as best as they can. But people do make mistakes. I am sure they want to fix them. And if they don't know about it I can tell them about it nicely."
To -
"I know they are doing this on purpose even though they know better and could easily fix the problem. They are out to get me or defraud me."
I don't know why that is. Maybe the fast paced world we live in. The fast food generation. We expect everything to be fixed right away. Maybe because in today's world things are so much more reliable than just yesterday, we expect things should never go bad. And if one of those is not true . . .
What ever the reason, I have witnessed the evolution, and do not like what I see. It's becoming so easy to point the negative finger at individuals & companies all while not having any clue what it takes to accomplish they goals they do meet.
There will always be pessimists and optimists. I choose the latter, you chose the former. After all it's just a reflection of character. I surely hope you aren't as harshly critical in all aspects of your life. Though if you are be sure to judge yourself as you judge others. Be it in personal and/or professional life.
I wish for you a business whereby you engage 10 customers just like yourself for every 1 customer like me ; )
I've been working on systems
I've been working on systems connected to the Internet since 1986. I've worked for years on networks servicing tens of thousands of end users.
Sure, if I were to sign up for a service (which generally I wouldn't, I own my own server farm, routers, and switches in a colo facility, though I do purchase services from companies to do comparative analysis) and say it goes down once in the first month.
Alright, so you had some memory go bad. Stuff happens. Then, a second time. What this time? Hard Drive went bad? Oh, no RAID?
They send a great explanation, and then I'm like, uh, okay. Benefit of the doubt. Just unlucky, two hardware failures in one month. Not too likely, but hey, sometimes the flipped nickel comes up heads ten times in a row. I'm right with you, I've been there and done that. I'm pretty laid back, I don't expect magic. At least, not for $6.95/month. They work and get it back up, hey, great.
Then all the sudden something else happens. Third time this month. Likelihood of it being a random problem versus them not doing a good job is becoming less likely here.
Oh look, now it's down yet again, fourth time, in a month.
Yeah, I don't think so. At this point, the likelihood we're still into the "stuff happens" theory is getting quite small, and the likelihood were into the "this service sucks" theory is getting pretty high up there.
Let me add however, I have no knowledge of what this persons experience was with the hosting company, and my comments should in no way be construed as me having any opinion positive or negative about the company.
I used to use
I used to use MediaTemple.
Anyway, Anhosting moved my site to different server and so far I didn't had any problem.

Glad to see that anhosting was accommodating.

Ditto here. Regardless of other comments, the most important thing is what they do in the future. I am happy your site appears to be stable now.

ANHosting is a good choice
ANHosting is a good choice usually. I have many Drupal site host in one account from them. But they do have an issue in controlling the usage of system resource, if one account use too much CPU or Memory, your site will be high possible to be down.
In this case, you can ask them to investigate what's the root cause, they will choose to suspend the account using too much resource. This definitely something ANHosting can improve, but over all, it's still pretty good from my perspective.
