It looks like the .info file is corrupted somehow. It contains some binary code and bits of the .module file too.

I am getting the same error--see below:

I'm not sure what happened here. It appears fine in my local CVS directory. I'll try again...
In the meantime, use the enclosed .info file instead.

I uploaded a new version of the .info file to the CVS repository and then downloaded and double-checked. It seems fine now. It should be added to the new download package within 12 hours. In the meantime, please replace the corrupted .info file in the module package with the posted one.
