I have had my website www.hiltcreativemusic.con for 7 years. all of the sudden on top of my what is normally my homepage is this greeting saying "welcome to your new Drupal website" . and it looks like my website is now listed as "drupal.Hiltcreativemusic.com"I do not know how this came to be. it gives instructions for choosing an administrator selecting different things that I did many years ago. I cannot make this thing go away, and it is at a time when it is disadvantageous for this thing to be over my webpage. can anybody tell me what is up and how to get my homepage back and to get this "welcome to your new Drupal website " thing off of it? I do not know anything about any of this stuff. all I know it is certainly is not a new website and I just want that thing to go away. I'd be so appreciative to anyone who could help. Unfortunately, I don't know what version of Drupal my site is because I didn't create it. and secondly I don't know anything about Drupal or setting up a website. my hosting company suggested I contact this forum

what was the original front page?
not sure what you mean by the site is 'listed' as drupal.hiltcreativemusic.com ... listed where?
there is a site at drupal.hiltcreativemusic.com which according to its CHANGELOG.txt file is using drupal 6.24
why there are two sites, I can't say.
your Drupal version is 6.24
your Drupal version is 6.24 and installed in 'drupal' folder with 'drupal' subdomain. I recomended to install fresh drupal in root folder. If you have at least one content (story type) the message will disapear.

The reason for seeing this
The reason for seeing this message is that there is no content on your site. From your post, it would appear that there previously has been content on your site. This means that either the content was all deleted, or drupal cannot find the content. Without access to your database and admin panel, it's almost impossible to say exactly what has gone on. But this likely didn't happen spontaneously (or else it would have happened in the past), so either you did something on your system, someone else did something on your system, or your hosting company did something on your system. With this type of problem, it's doubtful that it was your hosting company, as server configuration generally won't cause this problem. And if you didn't do anything, then is there anyone else who has access to your system?

Crazy "Welcome to your new drupal site" page across my home pag
Thing is. My site has all kinds of. Intent-4 different different pages- my bio info, a half-dozen pictures, flash, an audio playlist containing 24 excerpts of my film music. I've been in the administration section and done the permissions and users, blocks and access Controls, and I can edit the content. once can still click on my bio section are my film section on top of the banner that is thrown across my website homepage. I don't have a DeMien called Dupaul.www.Hiltcreativemusic.com I should just have one website www.Hiltcreativemusic.com..this whole thing started when I went to my hostin company "manage domain" and hit "restor they wrote back and said restore couldn't be completed because they couldn't find the content backup to restore. then all of a sudden I have this Drew Paul thing saying welcome to your new Dupaul website."but the point is I have tons of content on my site and I've been all over the access controls and the administration areas for my website. and I want Drew Paul.Hiltcreativemusic to go away but I'm afraid to delete it for fear of deleting everything that I have. thank you all for your kind time and effort in responding and if anybody has any other ideas would be deeply appreciative

Sorry, but, that's a mess to read. You should proofread before submitting.
Anyways, it does appear that some of your content is still there. It looks like maybe your top page got reset to the original top page instead of whatever page you had it set as. You can go to Admin -> Site configuration -> Site information, and set the top page there.

make backups of the database for hiltcreative.com and it's files and folders. you can then delete the subdomain and the drupal install there.
If you restored the working site from a backup on the server, without paying attention to the date of the backup and the database was rolled backed to a previous state, it is possible that you lost content.
