Hey there,
I just installed the latest version of panels 2-dev cause I was having problems to add arguments, and I notice that this module is no longer "compatible" as the tab style option does not appear anymore in the panels layout settings. Just to let you know!

wim leersThanks, will look into it.
reg commentedI had a similar problem with using update.php. However, when I uninstalled the panels module, reinstalled, and then re-installed it's dependancies, it seemed to all work.
patchak commentedArf..I did way to much customisations and tests on the test site I'm working on to just reinstall everything. I'll wait for a patch on this one.. ;) Sorry I can't really help about this, except for testing of any patch!

reg commentedSorry I couldn't be of more help. Consider however that I reinstalled and it all worked fine thereafter so there may not be a core problem but something specific with your customized setup. If the developers/maintainers come to that conclusion then then you may not get a patch in an great hurry, if at all. You may want a backup plan.
Just so you know, I only had to uninstalled/reinstall this module and one dependency, everything else was independent of this problem.
In any case, all the best.
patchak commentedDO you mean just disabling and re-enablng the modules, or you had to clean up the database as well? Cause I tried disabling and re-enabling the modules with no luck...
reg commentedHmm, I disabled them, Used the uninstall wherever it was available then re-enabled them. That was it.
wim leersPanels 2 must have received some sort of caching mechanism then, that prevented it from working correctly.
patchak commentedweird, I tried to disable the modules and it did not work... But if I unistall all the module I'll lose all the data right?? That's bad, is there any way to export panels and mini panels?? I would love not to have to uninstall everything since I already made a lot of work and config...If could only save the data of the panels so I can re-import them then i could try this, but is there any alternative?

reg commentedPossibly, not sure if you will lose everything. However, you can preserve the entire DB in just a few minutes so no matter what you do you can restore it so losing stuff shouldn't be a real concern. Just use PhpMyAdmin to backup the database. If you have a lot of data use the file option otherwise it will bog down your browser trying to load your entire database backup into a textarea.
If it works on a reinstall you might be able to find out what's different to make it work by doing a DB comparison. I used this technique on another issue, you can see more detail here http://drupal.org/node/181060#comment-611796 .

patchak commentedHummm, Wimleers do you think I have to reinstall everything or you are looking at this issue still??
If I can do anything to help please tell me,
Patchak
Comment #11
wim leersI still have to test it with the latest Panels release, haven't gotten to it yet.
patchak commentedHey there,
I tried uninstalling everything twice and reinstalling and all, still no luck, there is no way I can have tabbed pages in my panels!
I guess I'll have to wait but even with a really clean uninstall I have the same behaviour.

wim leersI just tried the Panels Tabs 1.1 with alpha 13 and it worked just fine. Please put your site on a staging server, so I can give it a look and play with it.
patchak commentedHey Wimleers,I sent you a mail with connection info to the test server have you received it??
Thanks,
Alexis
