I upgraded a drupal site from Drupal 4.6 to 4.7 then to 5.2. The problem now is I can't give access to any of the content mainly to anonymous users, I've checked the access content under node module in user access settings. If I put the check in the administer content, the content displays fine but just check marking the access content the content is accessible only to admins. The 4.6 version used the node privacy by role module does it result to this kind of problem?

Please help fast.

cannot speak to any upgrade issues...

assuming that you mean that your anonymous users cannot get to content?

assuming that the appropriate modules have been updated and other errors cleared, try this thread (http://drupal.org/node/188026), if you suspect it is a corrupted permissions issue. pretty well-worded explanation. considering that "administer content" (assuming you mean the "administer nodes" super-permission) gives the appropriate display (all?), this may be the case.

um, recommend upgrade to 5.3 as soon as possible. good luck!

I did it but it didn't solve the problem, I can't give access to content. what to do next? Upgrade to Drupal 5.3?

Have you tried clearing the cache? I think I had a similar problem recently that was cleared up after the cache eventually cleared itself.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the solution but I upgraded to Drupal 5.3 so its its solved. That certainly would have been a great solution anyways. I'll consider it if I have similar problems in Future.
