paully - October 31, 2007 - 04:27

Hello:) I need to add a customer comments field to products.
ex)
for an embroidery product I want to have a text field for the customer to LMK what they want the design added to.
I can trade:
custom embroidery, embroidered kids/adult tees, cloth diapers (moddern styles)
or funds next month:)
Please let me know if you can help!
Thanks ever so much!

Have you tried using CCK yet?

The Content Construction Kit (CCK) should allow you to do this by yourself.

I don't see where to do this

paully - October 31, 2007 - 22:04

I don't see where to do this in the CCK:( I think I should clairify that I want these customer comments not to show up on the site, but to attach to the product they buy and show up on theiur invoice. Does this make sense?

Like this:

http://www.middleearthdiaper.com/catalog.php?item=1198&catid=144&ret=cat...

not like this "add a review" to about this product example:

http://www.treecitydiapers.com/store/product/12306/BK-Cover-Med-Pink-Cam...

Am I confused about the CCK? Help is very appreciated:)

Thanks!

Embroidering and cloth diaper slinging WAHM (work-at-home-mama) to twin toddlers!

CCK is not the solution

CCK adds fields that show up when you create a new product or page it doesn't allow the customer to add in information to a product invoice before checkout. What we need here is a way to use the form api with ecommerce.

Hi,

Use node comments module for this. It should be pretty easy using that, but if still need help then do let me know.

Thanks,
Nehal Mehta.
