I am trying to add some content to my front page. I have a page (which I believe are called nodes). Having created it, I can set it to become my front page if I put its URL into the required box.

All of which sounds relatively easy. Only you need the url of the node. I haven't the faintest idea where I might find my node, let alone its url.

I have searched the forum to see if I could find this information for myself, only my search terms are obviously the wrong ones as I haven't found anything that tells me about nodes and urls or paths.

So I am opening it here in the hope that someone knows where I might find this url - or whatever the trackway through my server's folders might be termed.

I have full access to my server.

Nodes by default have a URL structure like node/1, node/2 etc. nodes are also stored in the db so you won't find them in the file structure of the server. You can find all of your content by going to admin/content. Once there, click on the basic page you have created. The "web address" you see in your browser is the URL or path. Type this into your custom front page settings.
