I've chosen to use body as a default value for the Selector field.
I know this is not the ideal value but I can't find better one for the moment.
The more specific proposal was made by @stBorchert:
Using "body" as default value for the selector is not really good, since it does not work out-of-the-box ("body" does not match any element on a default Drupal page). It would be better to use ".field-name-body" instead.
I hardly understand how a html page could not have a body tag: so I will stick to this for the moment, and keep searching for a better idea.
Conversation is wide open.

stborchertAh, sorry. Silly me :)
Of course every page got a
<body>-tag. During my tests the image did not display using the default values and I thought you intended to assign the image to the node body.Simply forget about it, my mistake :)

sashainparisI, on purpose, keep it open because I still believe there might be a better value...
Thank you for your feedback.
