Hi all,
I have a custom theme. Im having problems on the main page where the Main tab has a drop down menu which links to separate Portfolios.
The main Button is "Gallery" The 2 drop downs are Portfolio 1 & 2.
I wish to have them separate but for some reason they are both copies of one another..
Different layouts but the same articles within..
How can i differentiate photos between Portfolios?
I need 3 parent links for 3 different photo groups but they are all showing up in each portfolio if you know what i mean :)
Thanks

the above is a duplicate of: http://drupal.org/node/1882440: in future please don't create dupe posts. You can edit and move posts from forum to forum.
differentiation examples: images can have taxonomy terms which will differentiate them. They can be added to a gallery content type to differentiate them.
currently, how have you set up what is being linked into the menus?
Hi, Thanks, The way i did it
Hi,
Thanks, The way i did it was i just changed all the pictures, thinking they would stay in the catorgories of Portfolio Portfolio 1 & 2
When i realised that they all just merged I was able to select "skip first 3 pictures" in portfolio1 so that i can show the first 5 in the other, But that only works for 2 portfolios..
I have followed the instructions http://info.template-help.com/help/drupal-how-to-work-with-gallery.html
But with this version of Drupal I cannot see a "Catorgory" button to select a different scheme which the video suggests.
I am on 7.18
Ideally, and id be willing to pay a few £££$$$bucks,
I need Portfolio (On the Home Page called "Gallery") to show a selection of mixed pictures from portfolio 1&2.
then Portfolio_1_col (Main Cakes) to have 7 or 8 pictures of main cakes
and then Portfolio_2_Cols (Cup Cakes) to have 7 or 8 of Cup cakes.
The webpage is samanthas cakes(dot)co(dot)uk (close the gap between s&c)
I very much appreciate your help

category = taxonomy. In D7 they are term reference fields.
you will have to edit the portfolio content type and inspect the fields in use.
if you are looking to pay someone for this task consider creating a thread in the paid services forum.
Thanks, i will do,, though im
Thanks, i will do,, though im not sure of the going rate..

worth a try :)
I just cant get my head around this field settings..
I have posted in the bounty section but would have preferred to work this out myself.
Problem is i cant see how to edit individual Picture's portfolio content type or fields.
Portfolios i can.. Thats where i get lost..

perhaps image isn't a separate content type but an image field within the portfolio content type. Without knowing what fields are implemented on any one content type it's difficult to guide. Screenshots uploaded to a photo sharing site and linked to drupal.org can aid.
Hi,I'm not sure what has
Hi,
I'm not sure what has happened but..
the portfolio pages are not using the 1, 2, or 3 column layouts anymore..
Portfolios layouts were different, some had big pics in a straight line down, some had thumbnails in rows of 4..
When you "moused over" the thumbnails, a large picture would appear, now for some reason the portfolio is trying to load the large picture in the thumbnails
This is the url of the portfolio which is ok (close the gap).

You can see 3 drop downs.. When you click Main Cakes, you will see what i mean
