We've been trialling drupaled for a while, and like it a lot, but are getting frustrated with the behavior of the wikitool functionality - many of the probs that we have encountered are posted as support requests on the wikitools section of the drupal site, e.g. table of contents, index page, linking newly created pages back to parent page etc. but the wikitools site has been down now for quite some time, and non of the support requests are being dealt with ...
Do any of the other wiki type modules (pearwiki/liquidwiki etc) support these sort of features, and are they easy to plug in in place of wiki tools.
Thanks

bonobo commentedpearwiki is an input filter; liquidwiki is another wiki module that could be installed in place of wikitools.
Drupal's wiki functionality gets the job done, but it is not especially robust -- especially for users coming at wikis used to Mediawiki --
I've actually been considering dropping the wiki functionality from the profile for this reason; I will put the question to the group on groups.drupal.org before doing anything, but I'm curious how people will feel about this, and how much use wikis have been getting.
Toward that end, I will mark this as postponed.
Also, there is a Mediawiki integration that just came out a few days back that may be of interest -- we will be testing this shortly to see how it works. If this is a clean implementation, this could be a better path forward: http://drupal.org/project/mediawiki

misterphil commentedthanks for the feedback, and sorry for the delay.
To be honest, I dont have any issues with how it works - so long as it does! What we were hoping for was to be able to assign teaching groups to write their own wiki revision notes - possibly it is because I am not au fait with all drupal's modules, and there is a way to create some sort of menu structure and navigation within wiki pages ...
From what I have seen, mediawiki does manage to implement this, so that would be useful. I'd welcome any feedback on this.
