i have updated the core . But after upgrading the aggregator module remains sam ein 7.16 .in the reports section i am getting as follows

Drupal 7.18

Drupal core update status Not secure! (version 7.18 available).

Any idea?thanks in advance

i have tried
1. replace that aggregator module file alone . result not working
2. edited the system table row where name = 'aggregator'
i tried to change manually the info colomn .i saw the 7.16 version there i changed it to 7.18
RESULT : after the update.php run it comes back as 7.16

Mine updated fine, so it isn't the module itself.

Have you tried deleting all the files (except the contents of the /sites directory, favicon.ico, and any other customised files you may have) and putting Drupal 7.18 in again?

I'd also perform a file search on the entire install for a duplicate copy of the aggregator module.

VM!!!
That was right ..some how there was a duplicate in sites/all/modules too...My mistake!! thanks a lot..when i wanted that kind of feature i downloaded the module from drupal.org separately and installed it on the site/all/module. a mistake from me...
