Issue Summary
Hi, would love it if this would also work with custom profiles...so if you have a custom profile for say real name then there would be an option in user protect to disable editing of that

#1
are you saying you want the module to support profile module fields?
#2
Yes, exactly since in custom profile you can't turn off editing anywhere..thanks for the response
#3
i might consider committing such a patch if it's implemented well, but i have no interest in writing it -- you're on your own there ;)
#4
Hi,
Has there been any progress on this feature request?
I am playing with the module, but have seen that the protections do not take care of profiles. The original post is quite old, but it looks like this feature has not yet been included.

@pmonjo: as the maintainer of the module, i can tell you that i have no intention of coding this personally.
if somebody submits a quality patch, i would review it for inclusion in the module -- otherwise, this would only get accomplished if somebody sponsors my work financially.
#6
features are closed for the 6.x branch.
#7
The solution I took was to install the content_profile module and fiddle with the permissions of the fields. Thanks @hunmonk anyway :-)
#8
The profile_permission module is a good solution to this request. It seems unnecessary to add it to this module.

then we're done here ;)
