Taking Folksonomy to the next level

I've been working on finding ways to take folksonomy module to the next level. This is the first set that begins to make sense. The basic approach is to use Taxonomy vocabularies and terms as is but to provide an alternate UI using a free form textfield instead of a combo box. This hits quite a few brick walls in taxonomy module but there's enough here to see where they are and where taxonomy might be changed to support this sort of approach.

The game plan is roughly,
1) Build proof of concept folksonomy.modules
2) Hack patches into taxonomy as we need them
3) Merge the finished folksonomy.module back into taxonomy

With the long term goal being that taxonomy supports vocabs with an alternative folksonomy style data entry UI
