I get this error when trying to post to facebook from any account other than uid1, uid1 can post fine.

In logs I also have this error:
Post to Facebook stream failed.: fb_graph failed querying [...]/feed. OAuthException: (#200) This API call requires a valid app_id.

Patch attached which seems to fix, unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Twas to do with when a user doesn't have access to the override form, there was a variable in there that looked like it needed setting even if they didn't.

Great catch!

I've pushed the fix to 6.x-dev build. I will get it into 7.x, along with several other fixes from 6.x branch, hopefully later today.
