The module's help (shipped with the module and available at /admin/help/tac_lite) is erroneous: "(administer -> access control -> tac_lite)" The present path is "Configuration → People: Access by Taxonomy".
Moreover it says "Currently, this module works with view grants only (no update or delete grants).". Is this still true?

You're right on both accounts. Needs to be updated.

And it's not true, the module works with other grants now.
