Start with the base information:
Drupal: 4.5.2
Fckeditor: 4.5.0
Browser 1: Mozilla 1.7.5
Broswer 2: IE 6 SP2
I have installed FCKeditor and everything seems to be working fine with the exception of pages that have multiple html areas on them (e.g. creating a book). In the case of multiple windows, I can access the 2nd window fine, but am not able to access the first window (i.e. the body window in the case of creating a book).
If I select the window, I do not get a cursor. When I type, it jumps to a matching letter elsewhere on the page (e.g. type the letter a and it jumps to the first a it finds on the page). I can use the buttons to insert things like smiley faces into that area, but that is it. If I hit the source button, I am able to select the box, get a cursor and start typing. Of course this defeats the purpose of a WYSIWYG Editor.
When I test with IE, none of the above problems are displayed. Everything works as exptected.

Seasnark commentedThanks for the suggestion, however I had already updated to this version ... problem must lie elsewhere.
