I get the above error creating a new action set with "Create new entity" action using Rules 2.2 and 2.x-dev. It works fine when I create a new rule with the same action.

The param_type string changes depending on the entity I´m trying to create.

Any ideas?

When trying different things and moving actions up and down in the sequence I found that this error only happens when the action "load a list of entity objects from a VBO view" is above.

Any action I add after the VBO action throws this error.

Now, if I want to add this issue to the VBO issue queue without creating a duplicate can I just add the vbo tag to the project textfield above?

I don't know if you ever raised this issue in the VBO queue, but a quick search found #2899417: VBO Rules - Missing configuration for parameter

That is a relatively new issue where several people have come to the same conclusion as you - this is a bug in the VBO action.

So I'm going to close this issue as a duplicate of #2899417: VBO Rules - Missing configuration for parameter. Anyone experiencing this problem should participate in that issue to get it resolved.
