devuo commentedYou can't. The metatag title, is the element that exists within the of the page which is used by Search engines and browsers as the title of the page. That title and the page title in the content tab are two different things. If you need them to be the same, configure both to be the same.

waltercat commentedThanks for the quick reply. Sorry, this is confusing, Let me use this link as an example:
http://bkwinery.com/new-york-wedding-venues
On this page I have the Title of the page in the content section of panels set to "A Premier New York Wedding Venue" and Panels by default makes this the meta title, which you can see in the tab of the browser. When I go to the meta tags section of Panels and enter the page title as "New York Wedding Venue" it does not override the meta tag title that panels sets as the default due to the page title I gave it.

apmsooner commentedMake sure the Page title module isn't installed just in case.... I had a similar issue and disabling that fixed it. Metatags module merged functionality of Page Title so that module should be disabled to get this one to work....

aaron.r.carlton commentedTurning off the page_title module worked for me also. Thank you.

devuo commentedGiven all the reports that the page_title module was the culpirt behind the odd behavior, I'm closing this issue as working as designed.
