I don't know if this is a bug or a support request. I installed beta5 last night. After a slight hitch with upgrading (ended up having to remove old verision/tables and reinstalling new version), the new features seemed to work just fine.

However, when switching from subdomain to subdomain, the default domain name kept appearing in the theme header for each subdomain.

I am assuming that it should be picking up the subdomain name from the domain.sitename field, right?

What should I be looking for to try to resolve this? Are there supposed to be entries in the variables table to somehow address this?

This is possibly a bug -- but it might be considered 'by design'. Right now the Name change only applies if you have turned on and configured the Domain Conf module and the settings for each subdomain. (That means that you have to click the 'settings' link for each domain and save the configuration.

The Domain Conf module solves this by overwriting the variables on page load. The question is whether changing the site name field should be an automatic feature or not -- perhaps we should save that element on creation of each domain, or handle it in the core module.

Marking 'by design' see the INSTALL instructions for Domain Conf.

I changed my mind about this. It is a bug. Now you must edit the sitename when you configure the domain. In Domain Conf, you cannot edit the sitename at all.

if domain module installed..

U can change the primary domain name via admin/build/domain
