I can't get this to work, not even the examples run. Even when settings up the examples with the right credentials, it just hangs and then times out. Any clue what I'm doing wrong?

the question is where to get the library i think. it seems everything works fine but the lib is missing...

ok, found the library -> http://hg.mxwerx.com/xmpplib/
but now there seems to be no chance to send the test-message - "Error sending message: Link error (send failed)"

Also getting the Link Error, RobLoach, any success by now?

The library is no longer available at http://hg.mxwerx.com/xmpplib/ or anywhere else on the site. Is there a mirror?

XMPPHP looks VERY promising. And no, wundo. I hadn't looked at it since.
