Here is a very rough start an outline for a 2.0-alpha1 release

The following is a proposal based on conversations with folks working on the Media module and hopes to establish some clarity on what needs to get done to have releasable code. At this time we should probably consider Media 2.0 feature frozen in order to address the major bugs in the issue queue.

At the top of the list any bugs that are related to upgrades need to be addressed. This list includes at least the following issues:

Adding #1911970: The audio, image, and video file types should default to a wildcard mimetype selector. We should maybe use the 'Stable release blocker' tag.

It's hard to track/update a meta issue.
