I like the idea of exporting to XML...

I dont know if you've used the Devel Module but that allows you to view the Variables table too - but only viewing and editing. It'd be a REALLY cool patch on the devel module if you could maybe merge this functionality into it.

Hi nicholasThompson - finally looking at my modules again after far too long. It looks like variable_dump has taken over where this left off. I'm not sure if there's any plans to merge this functionality into devel module.
