I'm not planning a D8 version of this module: Fields and properties will be unified in D8 and they will be translatable. For any collateral feature not tied to translation see #1188394-50: Make title behave as a configurable, translatable field (again).

Awesome, thanks. I assume there will be an upgrade path for the users of this module.

Well, I guess the 8.x branch here will need to deal with the upgrade path.
