But in short, because the the submit button in the media browser is hidden, some other submit button is triggered when it auto submits, resulting in a redirect of the iframe.

I've added the patch to panopoly_widgets make file. :-)

Sounds great. Added to Panopoly, but should hopefully get rolled into Media mainline.
