This module is of great interest to me. Thanks to you and your supporters for the initiative and development so far.
One feature I would look for eventually would be to write IPTC for authorised users. IPTC is about the content of the image which gets more understood the more it is shared and viewed. Embedding the learned information in the image together with tags and sources increases its value to owners and users alike.
I have installed the dev module twice on a test site and on each occasion ended up with a site front page where all <head> content was stripped and <body> content corrupted. In each case I had left the import path at the default /var/www/html/ not quite knowing where to go from that point. I guessed that this was the problem but I didn't pursue it. I was able to access the administration pages and uninstall the module in each case and the problem was fixed.

Hi Graham
Sorry for the delay in responding. Eventually it may allow write access to images, but this is probably a long way off as it's not a requirement of my sponsor!
I can't see why or how this module would corrupt you page? If this still happens, have you got a url? And what server are you running (inc. php version, mysql version, apache version)
did you try changing the "watch dir" to a path that held images?
