I tried to create a new channel using a name lile "my channel" - this name prevented from saving default rules for that channel.
I did not investigate further on wether it causes more errors.

Can not reproduce issue which is described in the original post, but faced with another one.
If you have channel named like my channel, you can not run this channel with a dush command: drush elysia-cron run @my channel.
Because it will be treated like a my channel name.

So, the original issue is solved and not reproduced in latest dev version and in current stable (7.x-2.2).
