The developers might be interested in having a look at htmLawed, a highly customizable and efficacious HTML filter-purifier script.

Hi alpha2zee,
There are several code filtering engines on the web:
HTML Purifier make a comparison between this filtering engines.
Starting with version 2.x Safe HTML will allow administrators to chose which engine they will want to use for filtering. They will be able to install other filtering engines than SafeHTML and they will configure this module to use the desired engine.

Claudiu Cristea: You may be interested to know that HTML Purifier has its own module on its way, though its still in development as there are a number of loose edges I need to clean up before doing a beta.
