Problems with .htaccess on gigahost

Hey there,
Not sure if this is the correct place for posting my problem, and if not im sorry in advance, im new to this drupal thing and the community. :-)

Im having problems regarding the .htaccess files, my host (gigahost) isnt allowing this command in .htaccess files for whatever reason. Im problem is now, that my images in contents is missing from time to time, and i have to go back and make an # tag or delete the file, and that kinda sucks to do all the time.

Is there an easier way to come around this problem ?

I don't read the language but there seem to be quite a few google results dealing with the issue on gigahost here

Thats true, alot of how do edit the .htaccess file, that notthing about how to "fix" the problem for good, so you dont have to do it over and over again.
But its nice to see im not the only one with that problem :)
