Hi guys i have in some way corrupted my whole drupal installation and am planing on canceling everything and installing it again. Before i delete my installation is there any way to recover via FTP my documents at least the Test part of the blogs and articles i had written?

Sure the files will be in sites/default/files.
I would go ahead and download the whole site and also make a backup of the database too. That way you can always restore it if you want.

content that you produced/wrote in a content type is in the database. That content is not written to a file.
The written documents are not
The written documents are not really documents. They are entries in the database. So if you back that up with your files, you have everything.
Sounds like you want to preserve these articles and possibly reimport them to your new site. It won't be as easy as copying documents, but the Feeds module, will let you export and import nodes.
Whatever you decide, if you make a full backup of the site and database you can always restore it just like it was, so make sure you do that anyway.
