Does that exists:

I want to set up a closed forum where people can discuss. But I want that all the members get an email if there is a new subject or if there is a comment made on a subject.
It is a fixed list of members and it everybody must always receive an email. There must be no option to unsubscribe or subscribe to it

Is this possible

Organic Groups can be configured to sustain a private, invitation-only area where new postings are emailed to users by default.

Isn't that a lot of overkill. Can it not be done on a simple way ?
