The best module for showing videos and photos

Hi all!

I'm creating a portfolio and I need to know what's the best (or a good) module to show videos and photos in main. It has to show only a preview and when you click on the item, it has to open and show the content in the same screen (like a lightbox or similar).

you can utilize the media.module

or construct your own content types and utilize views to create lists.

colorbox/lightbox and others available in contrib.
