Issue Summary

I would like to know if someone has done a performance/ stress test of the Webform module. I am interested if the module would handle 100 simultaneous fill ins or visits.
Thanks in advance for the info

Webform should be able to handle a lot of submissions in a very short amount of time. I've known many websites that handle tens of thousands of submissions every day. In such a situation, the sheer number of submissions starts to become a problem rather than the rate at which they can be inserted. Once you have several million submissions (especially all in one form), Webform starts to slow down a lot when displaying results or downloading CSV files. However I've never seen the insertion rate be a problem.

But as with all performance testing, how fast Webform will behave depends heavily on the hardware you have installed, and the configuration of software around Webform (such as PHP and MySQL's configuration).

For your situation, if you mean a "100 simultaneous" users is really about 1 user per second (or even 10 users per second), it shouldn't be a problem for most sites, just as long as this isn't a continuous load on the server. e.g. 10 submissions per second X 60 per minute X 60 minutes = 36,000 submissions an hour, which may cause a problem for servers with limited resources (or maybe not, again it depends on your setup).
