remove body wrapper

I tried to use the module to remove the wrapper of the body text. I copy the htmlmail.tpl.php to my theme root directory and remove the

so that it seems no style will apply to the body part echo $body; , but after clearing cache the email body is still wrapped. I am new to this module and not sure if I did it in the right way. I would appreicate it if some one could give me some guidance.
