I have tried to move the black bar almost all morning, but have had no luck. I really am just trying to move it down from the top about 90-110px total, so nothing too drastic. I just need a little more room for the logo.

Any ideas what part of the code I need to go to and change this? I can't seem to find it in the Style.css sheet

I suggest utilizing firebug for firefox or chrome's developer tools to inspect the element in question. Sounds like there is a fixed height.
